Marie Curie was a pioneering physicist and chemist. She was born on November 7, 1867 in Warsaw, Poland, and died on July 4, 1934 in Sancellemoz, France. She discovered the elements radium and polonium and developed the theory of radioactivity. Her discoveries had a significant influence on modern physics and medicine.
